Private Sale. Listed in Autotrader. 2001MY.. I'd rather go for 2003.5+ cars with updates. Might even go for 2002, but 2001 is the first model year for E46. Thus, I'd rather avoid. Also, $17k asking is way above KBB's pricing $12-13k, not that it really matter, as evidenced by many similar sales.
